Chapter 1: Carol's boyfriend Nic discovers that William Statton and the alien his family raised, Rose, are coming to their college. They help the Stattons unload and Rose watches a movie in Carol's dorm. Carol decides to enroll in Telepathy.
Chapter 2: Rose tells Carol and Nic about a mysterious species of intelligent beings that is missing from both Earth and from her public record of history. They all go to dinner, and Rose is introduced to the rest of the college.
Chapter 3: In the first Telepathy class, students are 'seeded' with the power.
Chapter 4: Carol wakes up from a nightmare to find a lonesome Rose waiting outside. They talk for hours, and Rose outlines her motivation for taking over the world. Carol begins to feel the first effects of telepathy.
Chapter 5: Carol repeats the ritual the next morning, and gets to improve her newfound telepathic skills with Will and Rose over tea. Later, the school goes on lockdown as an article reveals the existence of the Telepathy course to the public.
Chapter 6: In light of the recent leak, Carol has to decide whether to stay in school. Her friends and she decide to practice every night and become the best in the class.
Chapter 7: School is cancelled for the day, and Rose seizes the opportunity to get her class outside Lincoln's walls.
Chapter 8: Carol and friends party all weekend.
Chapter 9: Carol learns some real telepathy techniques from rose.
Chapter 10: A classroom tournament reveals that Carol has gotten better at telepathy than even she knew.
